The new polycarbonate design weighs half of its predecessor, has wider optics, and produces a 150-degree photon distribution. The PPF of 48 Watt Extra-48 is 100 μmol/s, and the efficiency is 2.2 μmol/J. The combination of performance and lighter weight brings additional versatility to the field cultivator.

The new Extra-48 offers the same potential for hemp and other gardening operations. Extra-48's tubular body style allows a single tube to independently rotate up to 360 degrees. Growers can easily position Extra-48 exactly where they want to provide additional lighting for plants.

Like all horticultural lighting of SpecGrade LED, Extra-48 has an IP66 and UL8800 protection level, which is suitable for horticultural environments and adopts passive cooling.
